  • For longer responses (like in IELTS Part 2), develop a habit of structuring your speech into clear sections: an introduction, main points, and a conclusion. This will not only help you organize your thoughts more clearly but will also make your speech easier for the examiner to follow.
  • Example:

For a question asking you to describe a hobby, you could structure your response as:  

  • Introduction: “One of my favorite hobbies is hiking.”
  • Main Points: “I’ve been hiking for over five years. It’s an excellent way to stay fit, and it allows me to explore beautiful landscapes. For instance, last year, I hiked in the Alps, which was an unforgettable experience.”
  • Conclusion: “Overall, I find hiking both relaxing and invigorating, and I try to do it as often as I can.”

By structuring your response in this way, you give the examiner a clear, coherent narrative and avoid rambling or going off-topic.
